Our Goal: Happy, healthy, holy priests for the future!
A Blessing and a Challenge
Our diocese is one of the healthiest in the Northeast when it comes to priestly vocations! We now have more than 40 seminarians, our highest number in more than three decades!
Funding the formation of these future priests is a growing challenge. Each seminarian costs more than $70,000 annually, and total formation costs will exceed $3 million this academic year.
Bishop Caggiano would like to ensure that every man, if truly called, can be accepted and supported. Will you give to support our future priests?

Support Our Future Priests
Today’s seminaries are forming solid, faithful men with hearts of service. This formation has risen to $70,000 annually, which includes:
35% Tuition
19% Room & Board
21% Health Insurance
15% Other Living Expenses
10% Summer prog. & mission trips
Our seminarians are intensely focused on spiritual growth, academics, human maturity, and pastoral service. Your support allows them to focus on preparing to serve as good and holy priests.
New Plan to Increase Vocations
We have an excellent Vocation Plan to further increase priestly vocations in our diocese, including:
- Revitalized Vocation Team
- Parish Vocation Ministries
- Called by Name Campaign
- Regional Discernment Groups
- Summer Vocation Day
- Discernment Retreats
Our Vocation Team’s overall strategy is to identify and accompany young men as they hear and respond to God’s call.
